Harvest Hotel Cabanatuan Review

Oct. 7, 2016

For my birthday this year, I opted to celebrate with my family by going on an overnight staycation at Harvest Hotel in Cabanatuan City.

Harvest Hotel is a four-star hotel managed by Hospitality Innovators, Inc. (HII), the same group that manages Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang, Y2 Residence Hotel in Makati and The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences also in Makati.

Two days prior to our arrival, I called Harvest Hotel to reserve two Standard Twin rooms. The reservation officer I talked to was Ms. Josel. She emailed me the forms that I needed to accomplish to finalize the reservation. I emailed her back with the accomplished forms. It was an easy and fast transaction.

When we arrived at the hotel two days later, I immediately noticed the elegance of the hotel as I walked through the front door. The lobby looked bright, new and spotless. The seating areas were classy, modern and comfortable. I expected no less, of course, it being a four-star hotel. What’s remarkable about it is not so much the fact that it lives up to its star rating (as it should) but more so that Harvest Hotel is quite obviously the first and only of its kind in Cabanatuan City.  No other hotel in Cabanatuan has the same vibe. As far as I know.

We got Standard Twin Rooms 116 and 120. The rooms were simple and basic, not at all luxurious but comfortable enough. Typically, a 29 sqm Standard Twin room comes with an airconditioning unit, two double beds with two pillows each, a desk, a cable TV, a small refrigerator, mini bar, complimentary bottles of water, coffee and tea, cabinets with drawer, an ensuite bathroom with hot and cold shower, toilet bidet and complimentary toiletries such as body soap, shampoo with conditioner, dental kit, vanity kit, shower cap and body lotion.

A huge requirement for us in a hotel is the hotel pool because Zuri loves to swim. A hotel without a pool is automatically a no-deal for us. Harvest Hotel has a lovely pool area in a garden setting. The kiddie pool is 2ft deep while the adult pool is 4ft deep.

There was a swimming party going on when we went for a swim. :)

The next day, after breakfast, Zuri and I went for a swim again.

Take note that the floor at the pool area is slippery when wet. Though Zuri was careful, she slipped two times. Good thing I was holding her hand.

An overnight stay in a Standard room comes with complimentary buffet breakfast for two adults and two kids. Buffet breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant on the ground floor called Cafe Ecija.

Buffet breakfast is served from 6:00 am – 10:00 am. We went down for breakfast at past 9 in the morning. The buffet spread was minimal.

Taho! This was a pleasant surprise. Totally made the buffet breakfast special despite the minimal spread. 🙂

Unlimited fruit juice was also available. It was Dalandan juice, I think. All in all, we had a filling breakfast at Harvest Hotel.

For their best rates, contact Harvest Hotel directly to talk to their reservation officer. Miss Josel gave me an even better rate than Agoda. Or click here: TravelBook.ph and see if they can give you a better deal. 🙂

If you ever find yourself in Cabanatuan City and in need of a hotel, Harvest Hotel is a good choice. It’s pricier than other hotels in the city but the amenities make up for it. 🙂
