Hi Kay.. Your blog is very helpful for those who travel in HK. I like the golden crown guesthouse for my family but i have my relative with me that wants to stay in a hotel. Do you have any idea of what hotel that is nearby the golden crown guesthouse?

    • kaytsingson@gmail.com says:

Hi! Sorry, I didn’t have time to look at the other hotels nearby. Had a full sched. 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful stay in HK. I’m sorry for the late reply. 🙂

Hi Mommy Kay. I find your blog very helpful. I am also planning a trip to HK in January with my husband and two kids. May I ask if your hotel (Golden Crown) had a room heater? We are already booked at Salvation Army Booth Lodge. It is a nice simple hotel but I learned that they did not have room heaters. Was a room heater necessary to keep you warm during your trip last year? Thank you very much.

Hi Cielo. 🙂 Thank you for reading my blog. We stayed at Superior Quadruple Room 616. As far as I know, the room had no room heater (only a water heater in the bathroom shower). We didn’t need a room heater to keep us warm. The coldest temperature when we were in Hong Kong was 12 degrees Celsius. It was not really cold inside the buildings, outside lang. 🙂 Enjoy your Hong Kong trip! God bless!:)

You’re welcome. 🙂 Yes, tolerable naman. Masarap yung lamig actually, as long as you’re wearing suitable clothes. (By the way, sa 12 degrees Celsius, naka winter jacket na kami when outside the buildings, kasi lamigin kami. Si Zuri 2 winter jackets one on top of the other na ang suot. 🙂 ) Enjoy your trip! 🙂

Hi mommy Kay, thanks for your informative blog. We are planning to visit HK and Macau this 2nd week of July. Actually nag sesearch ako ng mga budget hotel sa Macau, gusto naming ma experience na parang nasa Vegas kami sa gabi. From Macau to HK airport may diretso bang Ferry near the airport? Gusto kasi namin our last day or night spend in Macau, para maraming mapasyalan. Anyway nag papareserve narin ako sa Golden Crown Guest House instead of Chungking Mansion.

Hi Gina! I’m just not sure if there is a ferry from Macau that goes straight to/near HK airport. Sorry. Oh, yes, Golden Crown is a good choice! Super easy transaction and very convenient location. Really nice staff, too. Hope you enjoy your vacay! Thanks for reading my blog! 🙂
